In 1 Chronicles Chapter 29 v 3 King David in providing an offering to build God's house at the end of his life states "Moreover, because I have set my affection on the house of my God, I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house, my own special treasure of gold and silver. David goes on to outline the measure of his generosity to that which he had purposefully set his attention on, namely God's house.
David desired to see God's house built with excellence and established the finance for his son Solomon to carry out his vision. Here at Gateway City Church we have a vision of reaching our city with the love of Jesus Christ and building God's house in a way that will influence all aspects of life in our city and beyond.
We can do many things with our finance but I believe the greatest thing that we can do is to honour God with what He has provided to us. In leaving an inheritance to the house of God we are truly building into our future generations and making an eternal difference in so many people's life's.
